Meet the Living Sacrifice Team

Robyn is the International Project Support Coordinator in The Salvation Army International Development Department. She graduated from York University Glendon College with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a Certificate of Bilingualism.

She currently soldiers at North Toronto Community Church. In her spare time, she loves exploring new places, musical theatre, and all things cozy – especially curling up with a good book and a cup of tea.

April currently serves as a corps officer at Temiskaming Community Church in New Liskeard, Ontario.  She has lived in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario throughout her life, but most recently moved to New Liskeard from Winnipeg where she completed two years of training at CFOT.  She is married to Brandon and has three young sons who are very loud and very sweet.  She spends her free time reading, listening to podcasts, and walking the boardwalk on the shores of Lake Temiskaming.  She is passionate about learning, teaching, and applying scripture to her life and sharing the good news of Jesus with those she meets through her ministry.

Brandon is dad of 3 wonderful boys, a husband, a follower of Jesus and an avid outdoorsman.  After 10 years in policing, Brandon was called into full time ministry with The Salvation Army as a pastor and Officer.  He is passionate about serving others and desires to see justice and equality for all he encounters.  He believes we are called to develop relationships with those in our community so that the Love of Jesus can be expressed by who we are, not how we act.

You’ll often find Brandon out fishing, kayaking, hunting, hiking or grilling!  He is outward minded and prefers to conduct ministry outside of the church and even preaches sermons from the forest.

Sarah love to connect with youth and come alongside them in their walk with Jesus. She is currently in university working towards a degree in History. In her spare time, Sarah loves to read, travel, and spend time with others to build better community.

She is currently the Divisional Youth and Young Adults Program Coordinator and soldiers at the Salvation Army Oshawa Temple. Sarah is passionate about community, youth ministry, and showing God’s love to everyone that she meets. She feels extremely honoured to be a part of the Living Sacrifice team and is looking forward to seeing what God has in store for this ministry!

Katie is passionate about helping young people grow to be confident in their identity in Christ as well as learning to use their gifts as worship. She loves singing, playing music, and writing songs. Travelling is another great passion of hers. She is always up for an adventure.

Katie studied ministry at Hillsong College in Australia and since then has joined the Ontario Youth Team as the Youth Creative Coordinator and Camp Registrar. She is so excited to be a part of the Living Sacrifice team and build a Christ centred community as we grow in our faith together and share the love of Jesus!

Silas is a fun, energetic, and creative young man, who is passionate about serving God and his people! He love community, building relationships, and exploring God’s creation. Silas worked at Ontario Camping Ministries for a number of years where he enjoyed working with both campers and staff.

Recently Silas became the Youth Pastor at Northridge Community Church in Aurora. In his new role he cannot wait to lead and develop relationships with the youth there.

Mark and Jodi met in 1980 & joined in ‘wedded bliss’ in 1990! Their 30 years of marriage have seen them living in a variety of places in Canada as Salvation Army Officers for the past 14 years. Before that, they enjoyed many years in Ontario, Mark working for the bank, studying at Tyndale for his BRE, followed by the joy of being a youth pastor for 5 years; Jodi also enjoyed years of study at U of T to receive a BSc in Psychology & Religious Studies, followed by her Nursing diploma from Seneca College and 11 years of varied nursing opportunities. During these years of study, work, and much laughter – their families grew with the arrival of their two beautiful children, Samuel & Michelle. Their love for their family is only surpassed by their deep love for God and seeing children, youth, & young adults grow in their awareness of God & His deep love for them. They feel it is a deep privilege to now work in the ministry of leading the Ontario Divisional Youth Department and seeing this great new launch of the Living Sacrifice Ministry!
